Samantha Negroni
Hi, I’m Sam!
Sending mail has always been a strong interest of mine. The idea that something small, personal, and carefully designed can travel across the world and land directly in someone’s hands. That’s what good design does too.
I am a communications designer born and raised in Queens, New York. I came to design through a love of making things by hand and the realization that everything made is made to say something. Communications Design just gave me the tools to turn that instinct into sharper skills.
My work lives at the intersection of concept and craft. I think a lot about the moment someone first encounters a brand, on a shelf, in the mail, in their hands, and what that moment should feel like. Every project I take on starts there. I specialize in branding, print, packaging, visual identity, and more. I am drawn to work that has a strong point of view and something real to say.
When I am not in studio, I am listening to music, crocheting, spending time with friends and family, and collecting vintage stamps. Long term I am building toward a career influenced by creative direction, where I can shape not just how things look but what they mean.
A few of my favorite things:
+ Any Sade song
+ A spring walk with friends
+ Collecting seashells
+ A broadway musical
What I’m listening to right now:
+ Green Eyes- Erykah Badu
+ Prototype- Outkast
+ Day Dreaming- Aretha Franklin
